Recently our pet dog - Panal-DOL was listless and not so active..thought what went wrong until i realised that there were WORMS in her dog food. This is the story.

I recently purchased for dog food PRO PAC brand from PETS' Station Warehouse (they have a few retail outlets around Singapore) and was pre packed into smaller packs and delivered to me on 27 October 2006. I have them stored in their original packets in a big plastic container while the opened packets are poured into a Lock & Lock airtight container.

Yesterday (7 Dec 2006), i was aghast to find worms crawling in the dog food in my airtight container. I thought it was my neglience but when i inspected the other prepacked dog food, they also have worms crawling in them. Although i previously ordered from Pets' Station (and have them stored in the same way as in all times), this is the first time i had this problem.

Quickly decided to call them the next day, and in the end i get this type of reply:-
- There was no "i was sorry to hear that" or "it is regretable that this happen"
- It is my fault that i bought a big pack to store for too long, and that i should get a smaller pack (but i don't have this problem at all in the past!, my other friends and colleagues also have the same practice of buying big packs to store but no problem!)
- "If there are caterpillars on our vegetables, means that it is edible and free of preservatives and pesticides" - which explains that the dog food is free of preservatives and all that stuff (duh!!!!)
- They will change the remaining packs for a one-for-one exchange. However i decided to change to another brand - SOLID GOLD, and although it is a smaller pack, they did not mentioned anything about refunding me the remaining money (i paid $65 for ProPac, and the Solid Gold is around $42 only!)
- They are not responsible for any pet food kept for more than 2 months! (double duh! So does that exclude the duration that it is kept in the warehouse?)

Sorry for being complain king, but NO MORE PETS' STATION FOR ME.
